ATLAS SILKON BA is used to make surfaces imitating the texture of concrete and the structure of drawn plaster - it creates a durable and decorative finish of the façade surface.
It can be made on the entire surface of the façade intersected by rustication or its fragments.
It can be used as interior plaster, including shower plaster.
ATLAS SILKON BA is intended for making thin-layer decorative and protective coatings:
- in comprehensive thermal insulation systems for external walls of buildings using expanded polystyrene (EPS) boards,
- on even, properly prepared mineral substrates (e.g. concrete, traditional cement and cement-lime plasters),
- on existing ceramic tiles, after prior priming with ATLAS ULTRAGRUNT and positive verification of their adhesion to the substrate.
Main properties:
ATLAS SILKON BA is a ready-to-use silicone plaster, based on a mixture of a new generation of silicone and acrylic resins, surface hydrophobizers, mineral fillers, special modifying additives and appropriately selected pigments. It is fiber reinforced.
High resistance of the facade to UV radiation and rain - thanks to the combination of silicone and acrylic dispersions and hydrophobing agents, the plaster is highly resistant to all kinds of weather conditions.
It does not require impregnation - the facade surface is self-cleaning, reducing:
- the possibility of penetration of impurities into the plaster structure,
- development of biological life, e.g. in the form of algae,
- formation of surface dirt.
The plaster is characterized by very low surface water absorption, and the hydrophobic layer and a tight stack of fillers effectively limit the structural water absorption of the plaster.
It can be used in wet rooms, e.g. in the shower - even on old tile coverings.
Freedom to create colors and textures - ATLAS SILKON BA is a modeled silicone plaster that allows the contractor to create any effect, e.g.:
- the effect of architectural concrete with a large number of pits,
- effect of monolithic concrete,
- the effect of grooved tiles,
- the effect of smooth tiles.
The plaster is available in 9 recommended colors - on request, it is possible to prepare the product in any shade.
The recommended plaster colors are permanent and unchanging over time - thanks to the use of appropriately selected inorganic and organic pigments.
High flexibility - the high content of acrylic resins enables the transfer of significant thermal and mechanical stresses, which e.g. allows you to create façade surfaces also in dark colors.
