APPLICATION OF TUFF-TAPE:
The TUFF-TAPE tape is used for joining plasterboards on flat surfaces (such as ceilings or walls) instead of mesh, fleece, paper tape, paper tape with an aluminum insert, and for finishing internal corners. The tape is excellent for masking cracks and scratches on ceilings and walls, as well as for repairing surfaces where the mesh or paper has deteriorated. TUFF-TAPE, due to the lack of reaction with water, is used in places exposed to moisture, where the paper tape could be damaged (e.g. in the vicinity of bathtubs and showers).
HOW TO USE:
Cut the tape to the desired length and cut the ends at a 45 degree angle.
Apply gypsum mass (except for quick-drying gypsum, e.g. building gypsum).
Use plaster to stick the tape
place the TUFF-TAPE at the destination.
In the case of internal corners - fold the tape lengthwise (with the inscriptions inwards), then gently straighten it and stick it, pressing it to the internal corner. Adjust the tape to create a straight horn line in the crease. Remove excess plaster with a spatula, leaving no air bubbles under the tape. Cover the tape with a thin layer of gypsum mass up to 0.6 mm thick, aligning it with the plane of the wall, leave it to dry. For internal corners - do not fill the corner with plaster after installing the tape. This will keep the horn line straight. Reapply plaster if necessary and allow to dry. Smooth out the unevenness with sandpaper with a grit of at least 180. Sand the inner line of the tape bend with the edge of the bent sandpaper. When creating a flat surface of gypsum boards in the place of their connection ending with the original chamfer, which connects with another wall at different angles, the tape used in the internal corner or external corner should be applied to the tape connecting the boards that constitute a flat surface. flat surface of plasterboards that do not have a bevel. In the place where they are connected with another wall at different angles, the tape connecting the panels constituting a flat surface should be brought to the contact point with the tape used in the internal corner or external corner. In both of the above cases, this will allow us to avoid curvature of the corneal line.* The same applies to the MEDIUM and ORIGINAL tape.
