The ultraPRESS 16mm brass connector is used to connect multilayer pipes using a clamp.
The "Press" connection technique involves pressing a steel ring onto the pipe mounted on the fitting's nozzle. The nozzle is equipped with O-ring seals, ensuring tightness of the connection and failure-free operation of the installation. The KAN therm ultraPRESS system is perfect for the construction of new and renovation of existing internal central heating, surface heating and cooling (underfloor, wall) and hot and cold utility water installations. Due to the material characteristics and diameter range, the system is used for the assembly of pipe installations in multi-family and single-family buildings and public utility buildings.
All fittings in the diameter range of 16-32 mm have a unique "LBP" design as well as a number of innovative solutions that increase the comfort and safety of assembly and guarantee the correctness of the connections made.
LBP System
Leak Before Press (leaking before pressing), thanks to this function, unpressed connections are leaky and leak - in accordance with DVGW guidelines. This allows for easy and quick location of unpressed connections, even in very difficult construction conditions.
Versatility
The design of KAN-therm ultraPRESS fittings allows for making connections using clamping jaws with two, most popular, clamp profiles "U" and "TH"
Safety
The special design of the steel pressed ring protects against incorrect attachment of the jaw to the fitting during the assembly process.
The "TH" jaw covers the plastic ring, the "U" jaw is mounted between the plastic ring and the collar of the steel ring. The above design solution eliminates assembly errors caused by incorrect basing of the pressing jaws.
Comfort
The end of the fitting's nozzle has been designed in the form of a cone, which allows for automatic calibration of the deformed pipe end when inserting it into the fitting. In addition, the body has channels deepened, in which the sealing O-rings are mounted. In this way, the seals are protected against damage (cutting the seal) and displacement when inserting the pipe into the fitting.
Thanks to this design of the fitting, there is no need for calibration and internal chamfering of the pipe, if it has been cut correctly (perpendicular cutting using sharp cutting tools).
Identification
Each fitting, in the diameter range of 16-40 mm, has a special plastic ring, the color of which depends on the diameter of the connection. This solution makes it easier to identify the fitting and speeds up work on the construction site and in the warehouse.
