13th January 2024 was quite the day for the London club! Northolt High School was the venue for a whole day of volleyball that started at 10am with the Under 18 National Championship and ended at about 7.30pm with a victory in the Superleague against Leeds Gorse.

This was the second meeting of the year between Leeds and IBB Polonia London after the inaugral weekend of the Superleague ended with a 3-1 victory for Greg Niski and the team. This time only three sets were needed for a swift victory and yet another MVP award for Filipi Rodrigues.

The players performed well and took the first set 25-14. The second set was a little closer, but always well in control of Niski’s team. The third set was another emphatic win in the match and added three points to the league total reinforcing the position at the top.

The next league match isn’t until 4th February 2024 against Essex Rebels. The week before will also be against Essex, but this time in the National Cup!
