The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) has recently launched the improved employer CSCS cards application process online. CSCS cards provide proof that an employee working on construction sites have the appropriate qualifications. Application for CSCS card can be done by both labourer and employer.
The online tool was launched on the 28th November 2018 and it enables an employer to apply for two or more cards on behalf of their workforce. CSCS are encouraging employers to get familiar with the new online process as applications made by post or email are no longer accepted. However, individual applications will be still accepted as usual. The payment for the new service is via an employer’s CITB account or over the phone.
Angeleen Hill, Scheme Manager at CSCS said: “Moving employer applications online removes much of the complexity surrounding the old paper-based system. Overall it will simplify and speed up the whole card application process for employers.”
